Familiar Facades

with Gökçen Ataman Tanyer

Evin Art Gallery, Istanbul, Turkey

16 Dec 2021 - 21 Jan 2022

“The window handle of each house, softly drawn by Setenay Alpsoy, and every opening of the tiny cardboard column that Gökçen Ataman Tanyer comes across, opens up to another greeting. Among all these meetings and buildings taking us to new heights, the city makes us dizzy, and as the dizziness continues, we meet again with those who stay around, with those who say that we are here and this is the way we are. As the world slips from beneath our feet at every greeting, it is as if the city fits better in its place.”

Fisun Yalçinkaya, “The Dizzying Landscape of an Encounter” from the exhibition catalogue.
